A dental checkup should be taken every six months to ensure proper oral hygiene. But many other people skip dental visits until oral health problems occur.   • A Toothache or a Gum Ache

Human teeth do not experience pain until there is a problem with oral health. It experiences pain in the mouth as a result of the cavity. The pain might also be caused by gum disease. Sometimes, the tooth might be fractured or excessively decayed. Hence, it is important to seek dental treatment if the pain continues for more than a day. 

  • Bleeding Gums

One of the most common symptoms of periodontal disease is bleeding gums. This is because plaque and tartar formation have infected the gums and teeth. Bleeding gums could also indicate gingivitis. Bleeding gums leads to additional health problems if they are not treated. 

  • Discolored Teeth

The alteration in the color of the teeth is not always normal. It could lower the self-confidence of the individual. They often feel self-conscious while smiling, laughing, or eating before others. It is therefore important to meet the dentist to know about teeth whitening procedures.

  • Teeth Sensitivity

There is something wrong with your oral health if you are experiencing pain when consuming foods or beverages of varying temperatures. Sensitive teeth result from tooth decay, worn fillings, gum disease, and loss of enamel. It causes severe pain in the teeth and it ought to be treated.
